VALENTINE'S DAY FUN

Valentine's Day parties are always the best!  With decorated our bags, wrote the names of our friends on valentines, and delivered our secret cards and candy.  We have fun even before the party starts.
Giggles, and thanks you could be heard as we tore into our elephant Valentine holders.
Our game was very loud and exciting.  We were given a plastic spoon and raced to move heart shaped candy from one cup  to another.

Thanks to all the moms and dad that helped make our party fantastic.

Garden in a Glove

February's Farm Bureau visit.
Kim Douglas with Farm Bureau reinforced what we had learned in our Science class with growing and sprouting plants.  We knew we need sunlight, water, air, and soil.  Kim ask if we could plant seeds but NOT use soil?  This visit had us doing an experiment with growing a GARDEN IN A GLOVE.  We took a plastic glove and put in each finger a wet cotton ball that had tiny seeds attached.  We stuck one cotton ball in each finger of the glove.
When all the fingers were full of cotton balls and seeds, we closed the glove, tied it shut, and attached yarn to hang in a window at our homes.  This way sunlight will help our experiment sprout.  In about 4 weeks we hope to see if our garden in a glove will sprout.

100 Licks on the 100th Day

Lollipops and 100 Licks
On our 100th day of school we selected our favorite flavor of a Lollipop. We made a prediction and drew a picture of what the sucker will look like after we lick it 100 times!
Mrs. Butler kept count in groups of 10's with tally marks on the board.  Each time she said a number, we took a lick.
Boy, that was just about too many licks!
Here are our pictures of the fun 100 Day activity.
This was a SWEET 100th Day activity.
